Kristanna Jones

Lead Teacher and Owner

Mrs. Kristanna is the owner of Woodhome Preschool and has worked in the preschool environment since 2012. Prior to working with preschool-aged children, Mrs. Kristanna developed an undergraduate leadership program at UMBC and also worked with elementary-aged children with emotional needs. With degrees in Child Psychology and Communications, her passion for working with children shows in her dedication to the learning outcomes of her students and a genuine interest in their emotional well-being. Mrs. Kristanna’s goal for Woodhome Preschool is to create and maintain a safe and fun learning environment where all of the children feel confident, smart and loved.

Sunny Fisher

Lead Teacher

Mrs. Sunny is the previous owner of Woodhome Preschool for over 25 years until 2022 and continues to maintain her exemplary place in the classroom.  She is a principal part of the family-feel at Woodhome Preschool as she touches the hearts of all the children she teaches. Her creative spirit, dedication and rapport with our families makes Woodhome Preschool a wonderful place to learn, play, teach and grow! To know Mrs. Sunny, is to love Mrs. Sunny!

Abbie Matson

Assistant Teacher

Ms. Abbie’s young, fun-loving spirit makes her a student favorite! The children’s love for her is equally matched by her love for them. She is a natural in the classroom and always responds to any student or classroom need with a smile. Ms. Abbie joined us in 2021 and immediately became an irreplaceable part of our Woodhome Preschool Family, working side-by-side with the other teachers to build a structured and nurturing environment.

Caroline Mitrus

Assistant Teacher

Mrs. Caroline’s commitment to her classroom and students leads to lasting connections making her a perfect fit in Woodhome Preschool’s family-like atmosphere. Her playful ability to relate to children on their level makes learning fun in her presence. Mrs. Caroline’s extensive past work experience affords her excellent classroom management skills and the patience and understanding that immediately makes students feel comfortable and welcomed.

Julie McCloskey

Operations Manager

Mrs. Julie worked in the classroom at Woodhome Preschool for over 20 years and traded in her teacher hat for Operations Manager in 2020. Her love for children and her extensive history with Woodhome Preschool contributes to her effectiveness when handling all of the school’s operations, inside and outside of the classroom. She is dedicated to the well-being of our Preschool Family and manages all billing, communication and organizational needs.

Kate Fitzgerald

Substitute Teacher

It is a true treat for any of the children at Woodhome Preschool when they get the privilege to learn with Mrs. Kate! Mrs. Kate is not only our substitute teacher but, a fun-maker who spreads joy when she is at the school. She is the retired Director of Loch Raven Tiny Tots and has worked with preschool-aged children for over 20 years.
